Party Animals by Freya Pocklington

“Party Animals” was commissioned by the Victoria & Albert Museum, South Kensington, to make a series of limited edition prints for its shop.

The painting depicts a cheerful carnival-like scene with a menagerie of animals set in the John Madejski Garden. 

The inspiration came from Freya’s visits around the V&A collections. After 8 months of research and painting, the viewer can enjoy the 58 references to specific objects in the museum’s catalogue.
