This October, Alveston Fine Arts presents a new body of work by the singularly talented Dan Hollings. Following the success of ‘Cutting Teeth’, Hollings turns his attention to life’s fleeting moments of beauty in a series of still-life paintings.
Like humans, the natural world requires the right conditions to flourish and prosper before reaching the inevitable stages of decay. But what constitutes the ‘right conditions’ and how do the intricacies of our environment shape us into who we are?
Created during a time of reflection and grief, Hollings celebrates life in all its different stages. The transience of youth is acknowledged alongside the inevitability of decline as moments of beauty are captured in full bloom.
Opens October 14. For more information, email art@alveston.london
