Roya Salari is a British-Iranian artist whose work focuses on colour and memory.
While initially studying at London International Film School and pursuing a career as an editor in film and television, Salari continued to develop her painting technique and aesthetic. Inspired by the work of Craigie Aitchison and Sergei Parajanov, her paintings use vibrant surrealism to convey the poignancy of childhood experience and feelings of longing.
Roya currently lives and works in London. Her first solo exhibition was in 2011.
