COLLECT ’25

“Mystica femeniae,” which translates to “mystic woman” in Latin, is the title of our display for COLLECT Art Fair 2025 at Somerset House.

This year, we chose to showcase only female artists who are exhibiting new collections of work that centre around the folklore and mysticism associated with “women.” Artists in our display use the idea of womanhood to begin to form connections in their works to the natural world, Greek myths, and joyful events. Questions about how a woman defines her authentic self and what kind of social attitudes or emotional baggage that creates—not only in the self but also how this is passed down to new generations—are explored as well.

Presented by Crafts Council, Collect is the leading international art fair for contemporary craft and design. Previews are the 26th and 27th of February, public open dates are 28th of February till the 2nd of March at Somerset House, London.
