Hand Signs: 

Katrin Moye explored the universal language of hand signs recognizing them as one of the oldest forms of non-verbal communication in human history in a series of platers. She notes how people around the world instinctively understand these gestures, despite slight cultural variations. Motivated by a desire to highlight positivity, Katrin created a small collection of platters featuring the most friendly and welcoming hand signs she could think of. She began working on these pieces in mid-November of the previous year, influenced by the stark contrast between her theme and the divisive election news coming from across the Atlantic at that time.
