THE PAINTING SHOWS A WOMAN EXPLAINING HOW BIG THE FISH SHE JSUT CAUGHT WAS, WHICH SADLY BROKE OFF THE LINE WHILST NO ONE WAS WATCHING. BUT WAS THERE EVER A FISH.
YOU SEE A TROUT WRAPPING AROUND HER LEFT LEG AND A SMUG LITTLE FISH UNDER THE WATER TO THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE PAINTING.
AROUND HER RIGHT HAND IS A SYMBOL COMBINING THE CHRISTIAN CROSS AND A HAMMER, AS THE TOOL USED TO KILL A FISH ONCE IT IS OUT OF THE WATER IS CALLED A PRIEST AND IS USED LIKE A HAMMER.
