This was the final vessel made in the collection, and it’s filled with recurring themes and characters: nymphs, puppet people, hybrid creatures, symbiosis, animism, and the general sensuality of being interconnected with nature.
While making this vessel, Evelyn was watching the American TV show “Twin Peaks”, and at the time the showrunner, David Lynch, had passed away. Evelyn had loved the character Audre Horne so much that she dedicated a fountain of eternal youth decorated with cherries to the character. The cherries are a double reference to Audre Horne and Bosch’s fruit eaters in Bosch’s fruit eaters in The Garden of Earthly Delights.
Evelyn also drew a big hybrid winged woman on the vessel, referencing the essay “Make Way for Winged Eros: A Letter to Working Youth” by feminist Aleksandra Kollontai in 1923, calling for a new form of love based on equality and comradely respect.
