Pyrophytes/Flamlet by Katalina Caliendo

In Pyrophytes Caliendo’s fire series explores resilience of plants which have adapted to thrive in the aftermath of fire, some of which secrete oils to promote blazes for their reproduction. Flamlet and Emberlite are named for embers from below the earth, with Flamlet flickering continuously below and Emberlite named for a glowing stone which is formed from magma cooling. For Caliendo Pyrophytes is a metaphor for resilience.
